If you have ready our book, now take it to the next level with the Binge Code Recovery Program.

Follow a step by step program to end binge eating, food cravings and weight fluctuations

Dear reader,

Do you feel trapped in a continual cycle of overeating, food cravings, and food obsession?

Do you struggle to control your weight with diet after diet?

Does one donut frequently turn into a full-blown binge?

Have you ever said to yourself “never again” after an episode of bingeing only to quickly fall back into those destructive behaviors?

If you answered yes to the above questions then you know how much control food can hold over your life.

Somehow you can just eat, eat and eat and never seem to reach the point where you feel satisfied. Afterward, you worry about weight gain and berate yourself for lacking control.

In the back of your mind, you worry that you are doomed to suffer the pain and misery of life as a binge eater.

I’ll be honest with you, before I started recovery I wasn’t completely convinced that it was possible for a person to overcome binge urges.

“Once a binge eater, always a binge eater,” I thought.

But just like many of my other preconceived ideas about recovery –  I was so wrong!

So, first I want to share with you the biggest myths that keep you trapped in the binge eating cycle.

4 Wrong Assumptions that keep you trapped in cycle of binge eating

Wrong Assumption 1:

"It's not about the food"

Actually it has a LOT to do with food.

In 1944 a famous physiologist Ancel Keys conducted a large study that proved every single behavior we associate with eating disorders can be accounted for by a restrictive diet.

The results showed that “many of the symptoms that might have been thought to be specific to anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are actually the results of starvation (pirke & ploog, 1987).”

Simply put, research has shown that a restrictive diet can lead to every single symptom of binge eating.

Wrong Assumption 2:

“You are broken or faulty in some way.”

We don’t believe you are weak, broken or faulty in some way.

You may be surprised that studies show no scientific evidence supports the idea that resolving underlying psychological problems leads to recovery (Walsh & Cameron, 2005).

This might help to explain why traditional treatments that focus only on the mental aspects of binge eating and bulimia are not very effective.

It’s a little-known FACT but for the vast majority of people binge eating and bulimia has nothing to do with their past, upbringing, or genetics. They simply went on a restrictive diet which spiralled into the dark world of an eating disorder.

Wrong Assumption 3:

"I am lacking willpower!"

In reality, willpower has very little to do with it.

If you try to fight off your binge urges using willpower alone then yes, it may work for a short time, but eventually those urges are going to overpower you.

You could have all of the willpower in the world and it still wouldn’t be enough to fight those urges.

Why?

The problem is that you are trapped. Your body, mind, and emotions have become trapped in a continual cycle of bingeing on food. Until you break free of the trap, binge urges will always remain. They’ll never go away. Eventually, your willpower to resist the urge always runs out.

Wrong Assumption 4:

"I'm too weak or too broken to break free from binge eating!"

Again, not true.

Because of the diversity of success stories that we’ve had the pleasure of witnessing over the past decade, we can tell you without a doubt that NO ONE is beyond help. There is no such thing as being too weak or too broken to break free from binge eating.

You CAN recover. You can get over this. You CAN get your life back.

It doesn’t matter if you binge on food once a week or multiple times a day. It doesn’t matter if you’re overweight, underweight or normal weight. If you tend to lose control around food, you’re in the right place. This program has been designed for YOU.

The unusual story of how we figured this out...

I suffered from binge eating and bulimia for 10 years (from 1994 to 2004).

It was quite severe. I was bingeing and purging, at my worst up to 10 times a day, I’d lost my menstrual cycle, I became socially withdrawn and depressed.

In 2006, I hit rock bottom. I couldn’t live that way any longer. I was determined to recover no matter what it took. I confessed to my husband and together we committed to recovery.

Frustratingly, for a time, recovery remained elusive: therapy proved ineffective, the best my doctor could do was recommend antidepressants and inpatient treatment was too expensive.

So with nothing left to lose, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Utilizing the research skills we’d developed at university, together we began researching, testing, and questioning everything we could find on bingeing and eating disorders.

Over the years we tried many different recovery techniques, but frustratingly we found that most of them just didn’t work (isn’t that always the case?). Yet there were a handful of techniques that showed promise, so we started to pull them together and began to compile our own recovery model. After years of research, we felt we had devised a recovery method that could really work, we later named this method “The Binge Code”.

By following this approach I noticed a radical reduction in the frequency and intensity of my binges. After 3 months I had completely stopped bingeing and purging and within 10 months I considered myself fully recovered.

It was remarkable. I have never looked back and I have been free from bulimia and all food issues ever since. We decided to share this approach with the world.

Since 2007 over 12,000 members have passed through our coaching and recovery programs. The feedback has been remarkable and our program is now recommended by experts, doctors, eating disorder professionals, and charities worldwide.

Ali Kerr Co-Founder of the Binge Code

So, what's REALLY driving your binge cravings?

The main cause of binge cravings is simply your habits. Yes, that’s right, I said “habits”. Binge eating is usually a simple cumulation of repetitive day-to-day unhelpful habitual behaviors over a period of time.

You see, although binge eaters tend to eat a lot of food, many of them also have a habit of under-eating. This includes skipping meals, avoiding food groups, dieting, fasting or purging in-between binge episodes. These habits are usually carried on from a history of dieting.

Studies show that these types of habits put the body into whats called “primal hunger” mode. Primal Hunger has many side effects including an insatiable appetite, food obsession and an extremely powerful urge to binge on food.

But thats not all...

Bingeing on food (especially those with high sugar and fat combinations) causes a flood of “feel good” chemicals (including endorphins and serotonin) to surge through your brain. This can temporarily infuse you with a sense of numbness or euphoria. This chemical rush can provide a temporary relief from uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.

Over time your brain can become conditioned to crave binge eating as it is an easy way for you to (temporarily) change how you feel about an uncomfortable situation. This is similar to smokers who crave a cigarette when they feel stressed, or drinkers who crave alcohol to calm their nerves.

The good news...

The good news is we know from lab studies, advances in neuroscience and personal experience that it’s never too late to change your habits. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do in the Binge Code Program.

"The truth is: You are not powerless, you can take control and end the daily torment of binge eating. You have that power in you right now"

Founder - Ali Kerr

THE BINGE CODE IS BASED ON 3 POWERFUL PILLARS

Pillar 1: Empowering Mindset

Our attitude and response to any craving is REALLY important. What you believe about your cravings matters! Here we help you to develop an empowering mindset in order to:

  • Increase your resilience to the discomfort of binge cravings
  • Boost motivation by reinforcing the belief that you can change
  • Overcome emotional eating triggers

2: Physical Rebalance

You may have heard that binge eating is NOT about food. This is just not true. It has a LOT to do with food. To end physical binge urges we must get the body back in balance.

In this phase you will:

  • Build NEW HABITS to bringing structure, balance, and moderation to your eating habits.
  • Start to process and be satisfied with normal portions of food.
  • Boost your metabolism & restore nutritional requirements.

Pillar 3: Personal Insights

All of us are unique and thrive on unique combinations. In this stage will build a habit of tuning into your body. In time you will gain a greater understanding of what works best for you.
This will help you to:

  • Learn which foods work best for you.
  • Discover which foods bring you the most satisfaction
  • Stay centered, balanced and binge-free for life.

Why the binge code Program is different

This program is super different than most courses about ending binge eating

Why?

Because, unlike other courses, we don’t ask you to analyze your painful past experiences or ask you to examine any personality ‘flaws’ and we don’t treat you as though you are broken or faulty.

Instead, we show you HOW to build new habits to break free from binge cravings —and stay that way for good.

We’ll do this by breaking big changes down into small habitsSmall habits are easier to build. Once you’ve finished building one small habit, you can then focus on another. The more you practise your habit, the easier it becomes. Eventually, it turns into second nature – easy and comfortable.

This way you can transform your life one sustainable step at a time!

This approach will work even if you think you:

  • lack willpower
  • lack motivation
  • lack commitment
  • are absolutely stuck.

“My experience with the Binge Code Coaching program was the bridge to recovery that I wasn’t able to reach on my own.

This program truly built the road to recovery that I had been trying to reach for so long. I have struggled with my eating disorder since I was 16. I am now 32 and finally able to look back on my journey.

– Natalie

“I suffered with eating issues for over 15 years. I’d given up all hope for recovery/normal life.”

I thought I’d suffer with my eating disorder for the rest of my life. I was too afraid to go to a treatment center, but at the time that’s the only way I thought recovery might be possible. It wasn’t until I came across “The Bulimia Help Method” audio book in October 2016, that I realized “maybe I can do this”? Once I completed the audio book, I knew I could do it! I just needed a little more help and guidance.  So I signed up for coaching and have never looked back. I am now 3.5 years into my recovery journey!

– Monique

I have a new found love for life

I never ever thought I’d reach the day where my cupboards could be filled with chocolate, cereal, peanut butter (and all other sorts of former trigger foods) without feeling the desire to inhale them all.
