Dr. Laura Hutchinson Christoph is a personal health coach as well as a professor of nutrition. She has gone through extensive training in diet theory (including traditional and modern diet protocols) as well as traditional nutrition science training.
She struggled with bulimia and compulsive over exercising for over fifteen years before recovering through the Binge Code, and is passionate about helping others free themselves from bulimia as well.
Her mission is to empower her clients to reach their full physical potential and give them the guidance they need to develop a healthy lifelong relationship with food and fitness.

This is the #1 question that people ask. For example, “I binge on small amounts of food but don’t purge, will this still work?” or “I’m an over exerciser, will the strategies work for me?”
The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter if you only binge once a month, or binge on very small portions, or purge, or over-exercise, or your eating behaviors don’t fit any “formal” definitions (most don’t).
If in any way you binge on food or feel out of control around food then coaching can help you.
However Binge Code Coaching may not be applicable to you if you:
- need emergency counseling
- feel suicidal
- suffer from severe depression
- have a very low BMI
- have been diagnosed with anorexia,
- are under 18 years old,
- or are being pushed into treatment by someone else
In that case these resources may be more helpful for you.
Once signed up your coach will send you an intake questionnaire. It’ll take about 20 minutes to complete and this helps your coach understand your current situation. After submitting your responses, your coach will schedule your initial meeting. After that you can message your coach anytime and catch up bi-weekly for your coaching sessions.
Many come to us after failing from the “traditional” approaches to recovery. You will find that our approach offers a fresh, empowering perspective on recovery.
Although everyone is different, in general it takes around 3-6 months for the binge urges to disappear and a further 3-6 months to rebuild your confidence around food. Many people on our program feel as though they are fully recovered around the 12-18 month mark.
If this feels like a long time, please do not feel disheartened: What we are aiming for here is total recovery for LIFE. You will start to notice the benefits of recovery almost immediately.
