Can I Train as a Recovery Coach if I’ve Suffered From Disordered Eating in the Past?
Absolutely! We expressly encourage people with lived experience of disordered eating and other food issues to apply for coach training.
People with personal experience of food issues tend to have a heightened level of empathy and unique insight into the recovery experience, which can be invaluable in supporting others through recovery.
Do I Need to Identify as Fully Recovered to Train as a Recovery Coach?
While you are free to define recovery on your own terms, if you have experienced binge eating, bulimia, another eating disorder or any ongoing food issues in the past, we ask that you have not displayed any symptoms of eating distress for a minimum of 12 months before applying to our training program.
In addition, we ask that you have not received any treatment, therapy or counselling for eating or body issues for a minimum of 12 months before applying to our training program. Before working with clients, you must be in a safe, secure place in your recovery.
How do I set up my own Business and Find Clients as a Recovery Coach?
Rest assured that our comprehensive recovery coach training program includes in-depth modules focused on creating impact, finding clients, and finding your way in your own recovery coaching business.
Is Recovery Coach Training Delivered Online Only?
Yes, this training course is delivered 100% online via our exclusive coach training platform.
I have a busy schedule – what happens if I need to miss some of the weekly training?
Not to worry: you can catch up on your weekly training videos when you get the time. All live sessions are recorded, so you can watch them at any time, even if you miss one.
The entire coaching program is designed to be flexible and adaptable – so as long as you stay consistent and focused on the big picture, you’ll get all the support you need to reach the finish line.
Do you offer a gaurantee?
Yes, of course. We want you to be overjoyed with your experience. That’s why we’re giving you 15 days to decide if it’s for you. If it’s not for any reason – even if you just can’t spare the time for the weekly sessions, you can request a full refund (minus your deposit fee).
